The Black Box, The Concealed Room

Slide 48

This drawing by Erika Kruger reminds me of my axonometric designs for EXP2.
The use of rectangular prisms intersecting with eachother is similar for the task of
which we had to do.

The shadows on the surfaces are used to show depth in the drawing, like how I have used textures on my axonometric drawings in my sketchbook.

"A third of the world’s
population have no access to
renewable energy. When we reflect on this struggle, we may console ourselves with the full belief, that the war of nature is not incessant, that no fear is felt, that death is generally prompt, and that the vigorous, the healthy, and the happy survive and multiply."

- Nicon Sanchez derived from Kuepper & Darwin

Quotes from the 3 Clients

“I was fascinated by the
fact that a third of the world’s
population have no access to
renewable energy, especially
when solar energy has the
potential to do the most good.”

"All that we can do, is to keep steadily in mind that each organic being is striving to
increase at a geometrical ratio; that each at some period of its life, during some
season of the year, during each generation or at intervals, has to struggle for life,
and to suffer great destruction. When we reflect on this struggle, we may console
ourselves with the full belief, that the war of nature is not incessant, that no fear is
felt, that death is generally prompt, and that the vigorous, the healthy, and the happy
survive and multiply."
