beautiful images continued...

I took this photo during a TAFE excursion in the city. The warm colours of the building, as well as the green leaves of the tree contrast beautifully with the dull greys of the concrete and the white sky. Another thing that I like about this photo is the relaxed peacefulness of this scene, even though the photo was taken in the middle of the hustle bustle of the city.

This photo was taken during the seal show in Taranga Zoo. As you can see, the sea lion is in mid air, on the way down after hitting a buoy hanging a couple of metres above the water. This is a beautiful action shot of a gorgeous animal performing a marvellous feat.

This is a photo taken from the grandstands during the Big Day Out festival in Sydney. The amount of people that go to this festival is incredible and its beautiful to see the people gathering for the love of music. The view from this particular spot is an excellent place to see all the music lovers jumping up and down in unison to the music.

CREATIVE WORK - OFFICE BUILDING EXTERIOR

This picture is an exterior view of one of my TAFE projects. We were asked to design a multi storey office building which had to include a small restaurant/cafe, and underground basement parking (both not seen in this image). The program I used to complete the assignment was ArchiCAD v12. I enjoyed working on this project because it was one of the first projects where we had the freedom to come up with our own designs for the building.

ARCHITECTURE - FALLING WATER BY FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT

(image taken from http://history591.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/wright_falling_water.jpg)

When architecture comes to mind, one of the first names that pop up in people’s heads is Frank Lloyd Wright. This image is one of his most recognizable works called ‘Falling Water’. Wright designed this building as a holiday house for his clients the Kaufmann family and was completed in 1939. The house is built over a 30 foot waterfall, one of the reasons why it is internationally renowned, and today labelled as a Historic Landmark. SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL - COFFS HARBOUR

This photo was taken at a beach at Coffs Harbour at the end of 2009. We were on our way to Queensland, and we decided to take a routine break at this point to have lunch and to have a rest from driving (we had been driving for I think 6 hours – with mandatory breaks after every 2 hours of course!). It was such a beautiful day, the sun was shining brightly, no clouds in the sky (except those far into the horizon), the water was a perfect shade of blue and the sand was white and hot. This photo reminds me a very good time in my life.
